Dear Friends
of Baylor School of Music,

As many of you know, one of the key elements of any school of music's success is determined by the condition of its pianos.  As the foundation of all schools of music, pianos are used in virtually every area of the school.  Because of this, we commissioned a detailed analysis to be taken of our entire piano inventory.  The result of the analysis has brought to light the decline in the condition of several pianos including pianos that are located in crucial teaching studios and performance areas.

One of the highest priority instruments in need of immediate replacement is located in one of our faculty studios. Faculty teaching pianos are subjected to the most use of any of our pianos because they are the pianos used to train our piano majors.

For several weeks we have had the opportunity to "try out" what our faculty feels is the perfect piano for this studio, a Bosendorfer grand piano.  Bosendorfer is the oldest piano builder in the world and they make their handmade pianos in Vienna, Austria. They are known for their longevity and tonal superiority.

We would like to acquire this piano and would appreciate your help with our efforts.  We've set up a pledging website so that our "Friends of Music" can share in helping us to secure this piano.   We've divided the cost of the piano by the number of its keys which makes it easy for you to donate a single key or multiple keys.

If you would like to help, simply click here and follow the instructions highlighted on the screen.
